Something in the Intel chipset driver package was needed apparently. Also a separate Java installation, as in going to their site, downloading it, and installing it. The Unifi Server software comes with all the Java stuff you need. So, if you get the port 8080 is being used issue maybe try updating the chipset drivers, worked for me at least.
