The bigger surface area of the grip on the MACRO helps spread out the force on the hand and the slide comp helps as well. The difference is slight but noticeable.The second photo continues to show the thinness of the XL, and that the XL has a smaller overall length (despite having a longer barrel) than the XCompact. The real magic is the third photo. The trigger on the XL is higher than the XCompact, and more forward (the trigger pull on the P365 is straight back and inline with the shooter's palm).Bigger gun. The XL is slightly larger, with a half-inch longer barrel, compared to the original P365. The added length doesn't hurt concealability at all. However, it does help in accuracy a bit with an increased sight radius. I've now upgraded the XL with a Macro grip, TLR-7 Sub, and EPS Carry.WC frontstrap and backstrap texture is much more aggressive than the Macro. WC side grip panel texture is less aggressive than the Macro. XL module preserves the ability to install a P365 slide with no overhang of the dustcover; installing a P365 slide on a Macro would require trimming the dustcover on the Macro.This gives the gun the same frame size as the P365XL, while keeping the slide length the same as the OG P365.
