Measure the width of your bed and subtract one inch from that number, then multiply by two to get the length. (most beds are wider than they are long) 2. Cut 2 pieces of MDF (or plywood) to those lengths, then cut 1/4″ strips down each side so that the total thickness is about 1/4″. 3.I made the skis from .25" HDPE with 3/8" baltic birch to make it ridged yet still flexible, 1" aluminum riser frame welded, riser to ski is 2" HDPE drilled at an angle for the tube.
